Welcome to the Public Input Portal for the 2030 Comprehensive Plan.

On this interactive website you will be able to review and leave feedback on drafts of the updated Plan and other documents generated during this project. If you have not done so, please register at the link above access all the features of this website and to receive automatic notifications when documents are posted. A guided tour showing how to use the site is available at the link to the left, and help files are available at the link on the upper right hand corner of this page.What you can when you register on this portal:

  • Read drafts of the new Plan and other documents, such as background studies and summaries of public input from public meetings.

  • Comment on all or part of these documents.

  • Read other people’s comments on the documents.

  • Take surveys and participate in bulletin boards.

  • Keep up with other means of participating in this project, such as attending public meetings.

Raleigh's 2030 Plan is here!

The Public Hearing Draft of the 2030 Comprehensive Plan is now available for review. The Plan sets the vision and course of action to move forward to confront Raleigh's growth and development challenges and opportunities. Any and all interested individuals and parties are invited to weigh in on the draft Plan.The Department of City Planning took public comments from December 1, 2008 through February 28,, 2009. All comments were collected and compiled, and a public record has been generated containing every comment and how it was addressed. The Public Review Draft was revised, and the complete and finalized draft will begin the City Council adoption process at a public hearing on March 19, 2009.

Attention: The deadline for submitting comments to the draft Comprehensive Plan was extended to February 28, 2009. All comments received by January 31, 2009 were considered as part of the revised draft for the March 19, 2009 Public Hearing. Comments received between February 1 and February 28, 2009 have been documented and will be presented at the March 19, 2009 Public Hearing as a special report. The City Council and Planning Commission will consider the revised Comprehensive Plan draft and all comments received after January 31, 2009.
